About me
I am a keen amateur photographer always looking to learn more and explore different aspects of photography. Most of my work is concentrated on landscapes, but I am hoping to try out different angles and new horizons. Now, during my third year I have a strong ambition to become a professional photographer with my new business J E Miller Photography.
I joined Herne Bay Camera Club and they have given me lots of support and encouragement over the last two years, and taught me a lot about photography, including how to mount my prints, and I now do all my own printing, mounting and framing. I also gain a lot of knowledge and stay up to date with books and magazines.
From May 2011 I will be renting one of the new Fisherman’s Hut in Whitstable Harbour to show my photographs. There are other local artists showing their work as well as food and accessories, it is in a good location with views across the harbour and is next to the fish market and restaurants.
In November 2011 I will be attending a wildlife camera operator course to explore my passion for nature. I got my love for nature from my volunteer conservation work through various organisations.
I enjoy showing my work and believe everyone has a hidden talent and I think I have found mine.
A camera only records light but, as I am learning, a true picture comes from the heart.
